Orthodontic Treatments
Outstanding orthodontic treatment made affordable
Orthodontics is so much more than just straight teeth. Teeth can wear down, come through too big, too small or just the wrong shape. Sometimes teeth are completely missing.
We plan your treatment to correct these issues and to create beautiful, healthy balanced smiles.
We use tested smile design principles to ensure we optimise the appearance of your finished smile.
Smile Design
We have been designing smiles for a long time now using a detailed ‘Smile Checklist’ that Jonty designed to ensure nothing is missed.
More recently we have introduced digital smile design as part of our Private service, so now you can visualise how you smile transformation can look within your smile before you start.
Fixed Braces
These braces are attached to the teeth with wires running between them. These allow for very precise 3D control of tooth position. They are available in clear (ceramic) and metal (both silver and gold).
Fixed braces are especially suited to more severe problems like tooth wear and teeth that are a long way out of position.
Invisalign
These are removable see-through braces (like thin mouthguards) that you change every 1-2 weeks that gradually guide your teeth into their new position. They are digitally designed from 3D scans of your teeth and manufactured using Cad Cam technology.
Lingual Braces
These braces are fitted onto the inner surface of the teeth so they are totally invisible from the front. They consist of metal (gold or steel) brackets bonded to the inner surface of the teeth joined by wires. We use 3m Incognito braces as these are totally bespoke with each individual part custom made for you to achieve the best results.
Functional Braces
Functional braces are used to help children with small lower jaws. There are certain bites when they are not suitable.
They work by holding the lower jaw in a forward position which:
- encourages the lower jaw to grow forward
- reduces the projection of the upper teeth ahead of the lower teeth

Bonding
Bonding (also called composite fillings) is the process of adding tooth coloured filling material to a tooth. The most common reasons are tooth wear or teeth that are genetically too small. We also use bonding to help improve the way teeth function.
Retainers
Retainers are braces that hold your teeth in their final position. All teeth want to move out of position and in fact everyones teeth move with age, so everyone needs them.
There are two types. Removable retainers to wear after braces (mostly at night) and Fixed retainers (attached to the back of the front teeth).
Teeth Whitening
All teeth get darker with age. Lighter Brighter teeth look more healthy and youthful. Tooth bleaching is a simple and affordable way of improving your smile.
We always recommend tooth bleaching prior to bonding composites.
